Tell us a little bit about yourself!
Hi! I’m Erika and I’m 33 years old. I’m wife to Ricky, and mom to five amazing children ages 13, 9, 7, 3, and 4 months. We live in Arkansas where I’m a SAHM and of course, mom boss. My husband is a personal trainer in his free time and recently became a real estate agent in the state of Arkansas. We are all about family and love to seek new adventures when we can. Our kids keep us busy but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We have a huge support system not just from our immediate family, but from the families and amazing friends from all over the country I have met through the small shop world.
What made you decide to start Krew & Co.? How did you choose the name?
I was introduced to the small shop world around 5 yrs ago. I used to create custom crochet pieces and sold them on Etsy under the shop name Pure In Heart Apparel. I decided to switch gears a couple years ago, taught myself how to use a sewing machine and rebranded my shop. Krew & Co was inspired by my 3 year old, Judah Krew Davis. She became a rep for several other small shops and for mine as well, so I decided to name my shop after her.
How do you decide which designs to introduce?
I love to include my customers when coming up with designs and colors. I try to find out what colors they like and also what kind of prints/themes catch their attention.
What inspires you?
My children. They live by their own rules when it comes to fashion and accessories so I like to include that when I create and design my products. I also like to see what’s trending in the fashion world.
What is one of your favorite designs in your shop?
I recently introduced the drawstring backpacks. They are so versatile and can be worn by any and everyone. One of the reasons I love them so much is because I can mix and match prints, colors, and themes. I absolutely LOVE mixing things up!
To continue to try new things and never put limits on what I see for my shop and step outside my comfort zone.
Do you have a favorite quote?
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
What is one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self if you could go back in time?
Nothing. I believe everything happens for a reason. Even with all the mistakes and rough times in my life, I know that it has helped to mold the person I am today. You just have to live life. Things happen, we screw up
a lot, but you learn from it. It’s called growth.
