The Eccentric Owl Presents: One skirt, four seasons

By Sarah Adams Permalink

One Skirt, Four Seasons | www.eccentricowl.comHello Wire and Honey readers! I'm Kristina, and I blog vintage and retro fashion over at Eccentric Owl. Today I am sharing another way to stretch your wardrobe, by taking one skirt and styling it for all four seasons of the year! This gorgeous vintage skirt from Cut and Chic vintage has long been one of my favorite skirts. But I find that I often only wear it in spring and summer, and wondered if there was a way to make it last all year long. It turns out, there is! Read ahead to see how I'd style it through every season. One Skirt, Four Seasons | www.eccentricowl.com Spring, to me, is all about the pink newness of the world, so I had to pair this floral top with this skirt. Floral pattern mixing is probably my favorite way to spice up an outfit, and pink and green is probably one of my favorite color combos. And how perfect are these cutout heels to complete the look? Adding a soft pink lip and a cute little owl brooch (from Cutie Crafts on Etsy!) makes this the perfect spring outfit. One Skirt, Four Seasons | www.eccentricowl.com One Skirt, Four Seasons | www.eccentricowl.com Transitioning into summer is the easiest outfit for me; I am all about grabbing a cute tee and styling it a bit fancier with a pretty skirt. This outfit is totally my jam. Knotting the bottom of the tee gives it a feel of ease, and makes it so comfortable to wear! I can't be the only one whose shirts constantly ride up because hello, hips. When it's tied, it doesn't budge! One Skirt, Four Seasons | www.eccentricowl.com And you can't go wrong with a colorful lip! Orange is one of my personal favorites; currently, I am in love with the NYX line of liquid suede lipsticks; they feel nice on the lips and have a good staying power throughout the day. Even my kids can't smudge them too easily! One Skirt, Four Seasons | www.eccentricowl.com One Skirt, Four Seasons | www.eccentricowl.com Mustard yellow is my absolute favorite color for autumn, and I was so excited to pair this particular sweater -- a gorgeously retro sweater from Joules -- with my skirt. The maroon shoes pull from the colors of the flowers in the sweater, and I think this whole look might be my favorite of the bunch! I can't wait for actual autumn weather to come so I can wear this out and about! One Skirt, Four Seasons | www.eccentricowl.com And of course, no autumn outfit is complete without a fun vampy lip color. Recently, I started a lipstick challenge of sorts. I own far too many colors that never get worn, so I am slowly going through all of my colors day by day until I've swiped them all. Of course, now I can't walk past the lipstick aisle without wanting to grab a new color. Ah well. At least I have a great selection now!One Skirt, Four Seasons | www.eccentricowl.com One Skirt, Four Seasons | www.eccentricowl.com And of course for winter, the classic combination of red and green. I adore this sweater especially for winter parties, as its sequined shoulders add a little bit of bling and keep me from having to wear a ton of jewelry. You might notice as I share more and more, I'm pretty forgetful of jewelry, and only ever manage to remember a brooch or some post earrings. I even forget my wedding ring from time to time. One Skirt, Four Seasons | www.eccentricowl.com These furry wedge booties are some of my favorite shoes. They have everything. They're warm, comfortable, and neutral, and last winter they were my go-to shoe. There's nothing like finding that perfect shoe to carry you through the cold months! One Skirt, Four Seasons | www.eccentricowl.com That's it from me this time! How would you style this skirt? Do you have an item of clothing that you wear year round? I hope you're having a fantastic Monday! Don't forget to visit my blog, Eccentric Owl! Save
